Jesus Christ: Ambassador Sent from God

Jesus the Son of God pre-existed the creation of our material universe. He was with God the Father in the highest heaven of the spiritual realms. * “I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated. .. The Court was seated and the Books were opened. .. And behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of Heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought him near before Him. Then to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is everlasting .. and his kingdom the [only] one which shall not be destroyed.” (Daniel 7:9-28) * “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made.” (John 1:1-3) * Christ “was foreordained before the foundation of the [physical, material] world.” (1 Peter 1:20) * “ Then  I saw a Great White Throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the Earth and the Heavens fled away.” (Revelation 20:11)

This Son of God came down / descended from the highest heaven (John 3:13) and was incarnated as Jesus, a baby boy born to Mary and Joseph in Bethlehem, the City of David, but known to men as Jesus of Nazareth, where he was brought up as “the carpenter’s son,” yet destined to become “the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world,” as testified by John the Baptist – a man who was “sent” from God and “came as a witness” of the divinity and mission of Jesus. (John 1:20 & 6-7) It’s amazing how many times Jesus asserts that he was “sent” by God as an Ambassador from Heaven to men on Earth.

“God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.” (John 3:17) “The Father sent him (the Son).” (John 5:23 & 24) “The Father sent me.” (John 5:38-39-40, 44) “My doctrine is not mine, but His who sent me.” (John 7:16,28, 33) “I am with the Father who sent me. .. The Father who sent me bears witness of me. .. He who sent me is true. .. He who sent me is with me. .. I proceeded forth and came from God, nor have I come of myself, but He sent me.” (John 8:16, 18, 26, 29,42)  “I must work the works of Him who sent me.” (John 9:4) “Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world.” (John 10:36) “I know that You always hear me .. because .. You sent me.” (John 11:42) “I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life.” (John 12:49) “A servant is not greater than his master, nor is he who is sent greater than He who sends him. [This shows the humility of Jesus and his deference to the Father] .. He who receives me receives Him who sent me.” (John 13:16 & 20) “The Word which you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.” (John 14:24) “I go away to Him who sent me.” (John 16:5) “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. .. They have believed that You sent me. .. As You sent me into the world, I also have sent them. .. Father, You loved me before the foundation of the world .. and these have known that You sent me.”  (John 17:3, 8, 18, 21, 23, 25)
