Who is God?

WHO IS GOD?

GOD IS LOVE and he who abides in love abides in God and He in him. (1 John 4:16) (John 3:16)
GOD IS GOOD and “every creature of God is good.” (1 Timothy 4:4) (See also Genesis 1:4, 1:10,
1:12, 1:18, 1:25, & 1:31 and Psalm 100:5 -- “The Lord is good! His mercy is everlasting.”)
GOD IS CREATOR - Genesis 1:1 & 27 and Job 38-41
GOD SPEAKS FOR HIMSELF -- “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says
the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Rev 1:8) * [JHK Note: The Bible
ends as it begins. Genesis 1 & 2 is the story of Creation, while Revelation 21 & 22 tells of the New
Creation. There is no sin or evil in the Creation, no fear, no guilt, no shame. So, too, with the New
Creation.] * I AM WHO I AM. .. I AM .. the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God
of Isaac, and the God of Jacob … This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all
generations. (Ex 3:14-15) * God appears to Moses in Ex 34:5-7 and says, “The Lord, the Lord God,
merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for
thousands, forgiving iniquity and sin, but by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of
the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”
